TJ & Denae Warren
TJ Warren’s total involvement in youth ministry spans this past
decade. TJ has worked with various kids of all ages since 2003, where
he helped in the After School Program at the Boys and Girls Clubs of
America. This experience cultivated a desire to serve Christ by
connecting with local youth and sharing the love of Jesus with them.
TJ focuses on activities and events that bring families together, and
intentional devotional times where youth can be authentic with
themselves and others.
Highlights of ministry for TJ include directing high school camp at
Quaker Hill for over 80 high energy Idaho teenagers each year, road
trips that leave the church van never quite smelling the same again,
and seeing people of all ages experience the grace and infinite love
of Jesus Christ.
TJ’s wife, Denae, enjoys helping with the youth drama and music ministries at Star
Community Church, balancing her husbands visionary style with
organizational details, home decorating, and her two adorable sons! She loves the Lord with all her
heart and is constantly amazed at His grace.
Worship through Music Minister
Worship Leader, Ellen Morse, has been actively involved in music ministry since the seventh grade, when she began playing the piano for worship. She holds a Master of Music degree from Boise State University and completed undergraduate studies in choral and instrumental music education at George Fox (College) University, Newberg, Oregon.
While at Greenleaf Friends Academy, Ellen led over thirty musical tours with high school choir and band groups across the western United States and three international trips to Europe, including concerts in Notre Dome Cathedral, Paris; St. Stephensdom, Vienna; St. Pauls and Santa Maria Maggiore, Rome; The Basilica of St. Francis in Assissi and St. John’s Monastery in Patmos, Greece. She has also taught elementary music in Washington, California and Idaho schools as well as early childhood music classes for the Yamaha Music Education System.
A private piano instructor and educator for many years she has always had a heart for the music for worship. “I grew up on the great hymns and choruses of the church and love the transitions into the contemporary worship music of today. It is wonderful to see how God continues to inspire and bless His children to write wonderful worship music for the church. At Star Community we have a sincere and earnest community of believers who love to praise God and make music before Him. We blend the traditional with the contemporary and love to express our faith through beautiful music!”
Ellen and husband Stan live in Star and have three grown children.
Our worship blends contemporary choruses by Chris Tomlin and Jesus Culture with the rich heritage of timeless hymns. You are bound to hear something you like both new and classic during our worship service at 10:45 am each Sunday.
